DEUTZ-FAHR, headquartered in New Zealand, holds the prestigious position of being the world's largest independent distributor of tractors. While it enjoys global recognition, its operations in the United States have been a more recent development. Recently, they successfully set up a US distribution center and now seek to establish a strong local identity for PFG America, necessitating the creation of an online presence and various domestic print materials.

As the newly established PFG America branch of DEUTZ-FAHR embarked on its initiative, the brand and its products faced limited recognition in the United States. To effectively convey the message, it was imperative to thoroughly review and comprehend the product line. The visual communications placed a strong emphasis on showcasing the products and their unique specifications.

Throughout the process, constant communication with local directors, corporate executives, and other stakeholders remained a key aspect, starting from the initial concept and continuing until the project’s completion.

While adhering closely to the high-level guidelines of the global brand standards, a distinct look and feel were developed, tailored specifically to resonate with the US consumer.

A well-established corporate branding guide was available, and adapting it to the PFG America Program required minimal changes. However, with the recognition of the DEUTZ-FAHR brand being reasonably new to the US, the educational aspect of the program had to be prioritized.

After interviewing existing and potential consumers and vendors, the top priority for all materials was promoting product education and emphasizing DEUTZ-FAHR’s long history and remarkable reputation.

The “About” and “Company History” pages were more relevant than its US competitors due to PFG America’s short presence in the US. Understanding how well established and respected the DEUTZ-FAHR brand has been was a vital requirement.

Products

  • Each tractor type was designated a webpage divided into multiple sections containing detailed product descriptions.
  • The first section provided a product overview
  • Additional sections included specifications, product usage, and advanced features.Organizing information using interactive images and charts allowed easy navigation without sacrificing needed data.
  • Consistent messaging offered easy comparisons between products.

Downloadable pdfs were available for reference and printing.

Find a Dealer

A locator map, including address, phone, and website, was added to aid in finding an authorized dealer. This feature offered an easy way to add in new dealerships.
